Growing up in the city of Port-au-Prince Haiti, we would look forward to spending summer vacations in the countryside of Lacoline and Lazile with our grandparents. Oooh, the unforgettable memories make us smile 'till this day.


Some of our favorite memories are that of being woken up by the “coco-rico” of the rooster and the sweet smell of morning dew.


But most of all that of the strong smell of freshly brewed island coffee, freshly baked bread, and patties filled with delicious tasty fillings, and not forget the sweet smell of creamy corn porridge (AK100).
